From 2009 till date, Onos Ariyo has remained one of the favourite gospel artistes not only in the country but across the globe. Starting from her local church House On the Rock, Lagos the artiste has grew to become a global brand and one of the most influential female figures in the Nigeria Music Industry. This feat can be attributed to the divine nature and can also be accredited to her consistency and heavenly inspired sounds,

While Alagbara which was released in 2014 might have been the major breakthrough for her, Ebiere which is her second name had started singing professionally since 2004, recording her first single Dance with multiple award winning producer Florocka. Prior to her being in the spotlight, the singer had ministered on the most sought stage by every music minister in Nigeria, Her debut on the Experience stage was in 2010 where she ministered along side Cheveley Franklin, Micah Stampley and others.



With tens of hit singles, a quadruple studio album and multiple awards, Onos has often been named among top artists who are globally recognized. While her songs have often drawn testimonies around the world from her listeners, Onos has been one of the influential figures when it comes to nurturing and supporting the emerging artistes as at 2020, she worked passionately in producing some new artists such as Sunmisola & kome Odigie to create their first single and music videos. Her kind of heart and influential nature has made her gotten several recognitons including being named as The Youth Ambassador for Urhobo in 2020.

Consistency in Career


Onos Ariyo has been a lover of music since she was young and has consistently maintained that until she started professionally in 2004. And even after then, the singer had remained glued to her passion and hasn’t at any period draw back from it. From dropping Dance, to Alagbara, Your Name and then the new anthem (No Void), Onos has maintained the consistency which has often made the world recognize her as a unique psalmist with four studio albums and the fifth one in view

After dropping the album Keep Moving which consists of Dance, Na Your Love, etc. in 2010, the major hit came in 2014 when she dropped Alagbara off her sophomore album No Limits which went on to win several awards and so many life changing testimonies . In 2019, after several amazing songs such as Jehovah Ebenezer, Oghene Meh, Have Your Way and Glorify Emmanuel which takes us straight to the Niger Delta region, the singer dropped another anthem in “Your Name” with a reprise with award winning American singer Jekalyn Carr which also made wave in the course of the year. What has drawn many to her songs and not just the flow but the deep lyrical content of the singles. In her latest single, No Void Onos shares with the world yet again that her songs are healing for the broken hearted as she declares “There’s no void in you oh God, there’s no darkness in your light, there’s no void in you oh God, There’s no darkness in your light” in the new song.



Awards and Recognition.


The singer’s amazing efforts have often been rewarded with several accolades, applause and awards. Onos has been a recipient of numerous awards and this could have only been achieved because of her input into what she does very well. The Delta born was in 2012 named the Best Female Vocalist at the Nigeria Gospel Music Awards as well as at the Crystal Awards in 2013. In 2015, she won the Wise Women Awards in the Woman in Music category and Female Gospel Artist Of The Year Eloy Awards in the same year. She won the Female Artist of Excellence Award at the African Gospel Music Awards AGMMA in the UK in 2018. In September 2018, she was listed in the Global Top 100 Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD).



Concerts and Stages


Onoriode Ebiere Ariyo has ministered on several stages and platforms. At just the beginning of her music career, she had ministered on the stage of one of the biggest concerts in the world, The Experience, in which she had consistently minister every year even up till now. Onos also had organized several ground breaking programmes such as her monthly Breathe Worship programme which had generated a lot of testimonies from its attendees. Also during the pandemic, Onos kicked off her lifestyle Talk Show on Instagram tagged Real Deal with Onos which still runs on her YouTube channel a show where she hosts several personalities across various industries to share their experience and opinions on various issues. All these have often made Onos relevant till date.



Collaborations


Onos has had amazing collaborations in the industry. Her biggest collaboration however remains the reprise of Your Name(Jesus) produced by E- Kelly in which she featured Dove and Stellar award winning American singer, Jekalyn Carr. Only few collaboration with an international act and Onos is definitely one of them.
